37th Manila International Book Fair Experience

Hey Guys! Watdheckk it's Glen,

  It is another time of the year, when every bookworms in Manila comes together to this yearly event. The Manila International Book Fair. MIBF is an annual event that usually on the month of September, it showcase newly published books, authors, DISCOUNTS ON BOOKS, Hard to find titles and so much more everything about literature. This year they held the 37th year of annual bookworm's tradition from September 14-18, 2016.

  My cousin, Aika and I went on the 3rd Day of the event September 16, 2016. We were so excited we went at the venue early, we're afraid that the books might run out of stocks, and I am glad that didn't happen. We're at the gate and I can already see books, it made me more excited and then the moment has come we enter the venue! There were plenty of exhibitors at the events that offers different variety of books, magazines, and merchandise. We have chosen Fully Booked to shop for our books because Fully Booked is far most my favorite local bookshop, they never fail to give the books that you're looking for! Personally I preferred hardcover version of books and FullyBooked always have it, their bookshop is very convenient and their friendly, so if you buy books for a living and you're from Philippines I recommend you to shop your next reads at Fully Booked.
  At the event, Fully Booked have tons of titles to offer, from paperback versions to hardcovers that ranging from Young adults, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Romance, Graphic Novels, Classics and even Self-help books. They really offer tons of choices and it came to the point that I cannot choice which books will end up on my bill. They offer 20% off on every books on the shelves, and although it's much cheaper that the original price I didn't had the chance to buy all the books on my bucketlist because unfortunately my money wasn't enough yet I am beyond happy on the books I have bought.

Here's a picture of books that me and my cousin bought at the event.
  She bought; "Landline" by the best-selling and award-winning author Rainbow Rowell, best-selling novel "These Broken Stars" by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner, and last but definitely not the least "Percy Jackson's Greek Heroes" by an award-winning, best-selling, and critically acclaimed author THE RICK RIORDON with illustrations by John Rocco.

And here's what I bought.
  Finally! Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar children is now on my hands! I am excited to read this book and planned a long time ago to buy it, finally I got it. I also bought the award-wining novel by Benjamin Alire Saenz "Aristotle and Dante discovers the secrets of the universe", a New York Times Best-Selling novel "Passenger" by the NYT best-selling author Alexandra Bracken, and also the New York Time best-selling manga Tokyo Ghoul volume 1 by Sui Ishida.
  It really was a great experience, I was happy the whole time I was at the event. Had the best time of my life, before it was just my dream to attend Manila International Book fair and I am glad I had the opportunity to attend this huge event to celebrate Literature. Another accomplishment on my bucketlist!
  It was my first MIBF and definitely will not be the last, I will go again next year and every Book fair they will held. This will be the start of my annual tradition. Thank you to event's managers and staffs and Thank you Fully Booked. See you again next year MIBF!

Well that's all, thank you for reading, hope to see you on my next blog!

"The Tragedy of a lone Lover"

"The Tragedy of a lone Lover"

Hey Guys! Watdheckk it's Glen,

  If your aware I really love to write poems and short stories.But before I am not into writing, I just love to read books, and other form of literature, but when I was on the 9th Grade our teacher told us to write a poem, at that moment I am on an emotional breakdown because of tragic love experience, so I express the pain and agony through writing a poem. first I can't believe I had written a poem, which for me, it was my magnum opus. I am proud that I had written my first ever poem, but it is not the poem I will be sharing to you (I'm sorry). As I get the hang of it, I write another poem and a short story after that I found myself loving the art of creative writing and the art of expressing through creative words. Literature for me is food for the soul. Alluring words are often touches my heart, and often makes me feel great whenever I read a beautiful piece of literature, It's like a warm hug that gives you comfort. I never knew I will find comfort on literature and so as writing, It gives me this feeling of discovery on how to put thoughts, and emotions through aesthetic words. Every word I write it reflects a part of me, a part of my feelings at the moment, that I express through poetic justice. I want to express what I feel, and in some ways I want my readers to feel the same feelings I encounter as I write it. I hope every lines in my poems will hit you and feel the sentiments and message behind it. Right now it is my dream to publish my own book, so I write more, and I am hoping that I will be able to publish my own book someday. For now I will let my skills to grow, and work hard on it, because I believe if you want to achieve something you need to take steps and travel further. And if you have a talent or skill you should let it grow and nurture it, learn a way to be great at it, don't be afraid to try.
  Today I am pleased to share to you my poem entitled "The Tragedy of a lone Lover" I wrote this last May 30, 2016. It's a painful poem and a tragic love story. And there is so much emotion and thoughts I had bare in this poem. So here it is, read it;

  First of all Thank you for reading my poem, I am glad to share it to you. As you don't know there is a back story about this poem, actually it's about my own life experience. It is based on a tragic relationship I had with a girl, who I loved so much but then our relationship didn't work. How tragic, isn't it?.
  Now I want you to comment down or email me (linked below) your thoughts about my poem, and also comment or email your favorite line from the poem. Again thank you for reading my poem, and thank you for stopping by, Hope to see you again on my next blog.
